POCKET BIKES!!! hahahaa Andre was psychoing us into getting a pocket bike, and I think we might just get one. Its so damn cute, and its fun. They were talking about riding it through town or something. Imagine 5 pocket bikes riding through orchard...hahahaha Its roughly about SGD500 buckaroos for one of these-expensive toy- The one above can go up to about 80km/h, I doubt it though, china manufactured, so china translation right, later it turns out to be max speed 50 or 40 only, hahaha but if it really can go up to 80! Wow!
Anyway, today on class 95, they were discussing about polytechnic graduates, I am in a poly myself, and I do agree that there is still a considerable amount of discrimination against poly grads. Its already evident even when we are in poly, take for example, I am working part-time at this place_can I name the place? Or would I get sued or something?- anyways, thing is, I work at this ice-cream parlor to earn some spare cash, I have been working there for about a year or so. So this colleague of mine an undergrad joined us for about 3months and guess what, she was promoted to supervisor! why? because she was an undergrad! What?!?!!?! Does that make sense to you? So does that mean that if I start uni next year, you will increase my pay too? -sickening- When i asked my manager as to why was she promoted, their lameass reason for promoting her was that she put in long hours when she started, I put in long hours when I first started too, to make it worse, they supported their so-called reasoning was like ''people undergrad mah!'' MAH your fucking balls! Now she's working once a week for christ sake! -sick in the stomach- If paper qualifications mean that much, where does experience leave you?
I guess people have this misconceived idea that poly students are the ones that couldn't make it into JC bunch, meaning not as smart as the JC students, which I'd like to argue is totally 100% not true and it is just a stupid mentality that some employers and people have. So what do you make of those JC students that come poly when they can't make it in JC? Doesn't that make them more stupid that poly students? I'm sure many people will understand where I'm coming from.
Yay Ben's goin to bring me to buy scram helmet! Hopefully I can get a pretty ninja faced looking one. hahah super fierce looking man. Its been a long day, will be leaving the office soon, my poor friend and her friend misses their friend. Poorthing, well bare with it for another few more days yeah!
Its teachers day today! I still remember my primary school teachers, Mrs Yan was my P6 form teacher, and we had this bastard make-shift form teacher *because Mrs Yan was on maternity leave* whom couldn't teach, I remember his name! Mr Chin!!! -yucks- Secondary school, I remember all my teachers, Mr Vivek was my form and maths teacher, he was one of those teachers that help you realise that you actually love the subject. He made me realise that I actually loved maths. I had a really awsome history teacher in sec 3, Mr Moothy, he was didn't spoon feed you, he'd make you think, to make sense of it, which was great, Mr Lim my physics teacher, hahaha still remembered that he was bias towards us girls, which was good, we could get away with forgetting our homework, he's good at explaining to you, has loads of patience. Oh and of course Ms Thio, my form teacher, didn't quite like her at first, but when the exams drew closer, she provided help and we finally agreed that she was indeed an great teacher at chemistry, last of all, not forgetting my ever relaxed D&T teacher and the two workshop technicians, Mr Hamid opss! can't remember their name now, very relaxed, very very nice...often get bullied by the guys.Love my sec school teachers. HAPPY TEACHERS DAY!
